Tourism Law

Tourism is undoubtedly a central pillar of growth of the Greek economy. This particular sector, which has no geographical boundaries and is a global issue, is regulated by a set of National, European and International laws. Moreover, in Greece, as in other European countries, there is no autonomous tourism law, but in essence it is tourism legislation in the form of a collection of mainly administrative rules, which cover a specific aspect of tourism such as hotels and travel agencies. Our firm has extensive experience in providing specialized legal services in the tourism sector, working with both EU and International tour operators and hotels.

Indicatively, our services are among others:

  • Legal Consulting for the operation of foreign legal entities in Greece (establishment of subsidiary Greek company/foreign Brach etc)
  • Reviewing and drafting of hotel contracts between tour operators and hotels (guarantee/allotment contracts)
  • Conducting procedures before EOT (National Tourism Organization)
  • Consulting on daily matters (e.g. labor contracts, intellectual properties, compliance with national and europian legislation etc)
  • Due diligence regarding mergers, acquisitions and lease agreements (hotels and various touristic establishments)
  • Litigation on disputes arising from the performance of hotel contracts or/and the termination of them
